Bad customer service

A stylist told me she would contact me two weeks ago, I told her I was available and asked her a time... She never responded and when I emailed trunk club about it, they didnt respond, that was 4 days ago... Such a shame... Stitch fix has way better customer service, I was just looking for better quality. But obviously dont want to pay more and revive bad customer service. Such a shame, they need to get it together.

Not working

I mainly got the app to use the message feature with my stylist. For some reason the first time I used the app it worked and now everything else will load except for the messages. It just sits blank... Really need to fix this feature.

Room for improvement

The app is easy to figure out for the most part. They should add the ability to to zoom in to the pictures of the clothing in the trunks since they only add one photo for each item. It would also be great if you could add a link for a pintrest board to allow you to click back and forward on the app. I didnt see an explanation for the "outfits" section. The customer support has been great, they gave me an extension with no hassle and presentation of trunk with clothing is very fabulous. I wish they had a commit time on the stylist replies. My stylist is inconsistent with the speed of her replies to my chats. Usually it seems to take her 2 days. I almost just went shopping to a store because I got frustrated with the wait. Overall, the positive out weights the negatives so far.

Great Service

I have been a client for over two years now and this has been a great service. Stylist is great and ease of service and app make it well worth the cost. Only update the app needs is a way to delete clothing that you no longer have. Would make for a great way for stylist to see what may need to be replaced in future orders.

App works well for giving feedback

Some people here are complaining about the service and response times, but the app works fine for me. Able to easily provide feedback on my items and review my trunk before it comes. Only negative would be the outfit/wardrobe section. Would like a way to create my own outfits, not just see what the stylist enters.

Nice clothes but...

They used to send a hand-written note with my cardboard box of clothes, but not anymore. A couple years back they sold out to Nordstrom for more than $320M. The clothes as a whole are marked up at 50% or more and are a huge rip.

Game changer

I used to shop at outlets and thrift stores but no matter how I dressed, I could never get compliments or looks. Trunk Club has been a game changer for me. With my new wardrobe picked out by my stylist, Im getting noticed. Im able to message my stylist with the app, as well as, review my trunks before they are sent to me unlike the other competitors who are subscription based, use algorithms, or send inferior quality clothing - whats that saying? You get what you pay for? My only wish for the latest app is for me to remove items in my wardrobe like my socks which ran away or were taken by the proverbial sock God.

Crashing

The app keeps crashing and messages wont send.

Add Apple Pay, Ill give you 5 stars. Would also like to see the ability to pick clothing based on looks.

First trunk

I am very disappointed in my experience with Trunk Club. I signed in through the app which was fairly intuitive. I expected a call the next day, but it took over a week for me to get contacted by email. Not the personal experience that i was expecting. No worries. Once we got on a call, Matt and I discussed my needs and agreed on going after some casual outfits for dates with my wife and some business casual needs that I have. When i received the preview of my first trunk, i was surprised by the high pricing on shirts, slacks, and sportcoats. I also did not receive anything in the area of casual outfits for dates with my wife. The detail of the items was minimal. I couldnt see what they were made of, and i couldnt zoom in on the garments to see construction. When you try to zoom on the app, it zooms in on the middle of the garment. You get to see the zipper or middle jacket button really well, but you cant move around on the garment. I received two items in my preview trunk that were pictures of sport coats and were $675. Since there was no description of the item, im assuming that they were sport coats and not suits. This service may be appropriately priced for NYC, but I can find much more for my dollar and more attentive service at Nordstroms or Sax. I really love the concept and wanted it to work, but my experience was a big miss for Trunk Club.

Customer 0 stars- do not use

Never ever use this service! Scam! They charged me for two trunk shipments within days apart, duplicated items. They rerouted first to return to sender before I could even review and apply the $25 to an item. Second trunk was cancelled but they shipped anyways. Stylist was a waste. Customer service was a waste. Mismanaged process and scam. I will wait to see if they make it right, if not I will dispute per terms of agreement that my $25 was never available to use towards and item as obviously they rerouted my trunk before it delivered. Do not use this service ever!

Love this entire concept!

I love clothing but I HATE having to go to multiple stores and try a bunch of things on just to find that one thing I need. With Trunk Club, you can tell your stylist what youre looking for and have a box of curated items sent right to your door. I love that you get outfit suggestions in the app as well. Its super convenient and Ive loved just about every piece my stylist has sent me.

Whats the point of consultants?

On the app, you cant look at anything to pick out and choose from. You are automatically made to talk to a "consultant" who hasnt been very helpful. I was asked a few basic questions. Tried to answer as honestly as possible. Last message I received was "ok" and nothing for more than 30 hours. Id rather pick my own articles of clothing out and have some recommendations based on automated questions I answer based on style and taste. Deleting the app. Sorry. Great idea but needs some work.

Alaska not really included

I would love to try the service but apparently because I live in Alaska (which is part of the USA, the stylist found some confusion there) I have to pay for all clothing costs up front and then what I dont like I can ship back at my expense and wait for a refund. So potentially it could cost $50 to decide I dont care for anything and then wait several days to get my money back. Ill stick with the other services that dont find the 49th state in America to be such a hassle. Brutal.

App always freezes; stylists dont listen

In regards to the App, I have had to delete & reinstall it 3 times because it keeps freezing. In regards to the service, the stylists must have set pieces they are trying to push regardless of your requests. I asked for tops that could work for business casual & transition to things like dinner parties. I received in my first trunk two pairs of lounge pants, 2 cocktail dresses, 2 shoes, & a jacket. The only top in the trunk was a mock turtleneck (not my style). I told the stylist how disappointed I was in not receiving the tops I requested, & she resent a trunk. Again it contained shoes, dresses, etc & not a single work appropriate top. I am so disappointed. I love Stitch Fix so I was hoping Trunk would be even better but when specific requests are actively ignored, it is not worth my time or effort.

Decent App terrible customer service

The App is good and very easy to use. My only suggestion is to create a button or another mechanism that prompts you to complete all of the account steps (like adding a payment method, mailing address, etc.). Otherwise you have to go to each section and fill things out on your own...not a terrible thing, but would be nice to be auto prompted. Also, the default time of 24 hours listed once you review and submit your trunk isnt accurate it takes at least 2 days. I sent a message to my assigned stylist to check after almost 3 days. Thats where my experience went bad. She proceeded in a series of messages to point out that since I took so long to review my items (it took me 1.5 days to confirm). That I was the reason why it took longer than 24 hours to ship. Thats confusing because once I confirmed in the app and noted I didnt want the items I deleted to be replaced, it says it will ship in 24 hours. It would have been fine if it takes longer, but that prompted my email to the stylist...who was rude in responding.

Need to improve the shopping and app experiences

Please allow clients to set the frequency of trunks in the app. I was surprised to be approached only two weeks after my first trunk, and was not prepared to shop. I was further surprised to find no way to control this in your app, and feel as if I do not have control over my experience. I am less trusting of Trunk Club as a result. My stylist does a good job choosing and compensating for item sizes (up and down based on brand/fit) but certain dimensions like shoe size, sleeve, neck and inseam are very standard across clothing lines. Please do not send items that dont adhere to your clients dimensions as entered into the app. Last, be clear up front about trousers shipping only with a 34" inseam, requiring clients to get them hemmed. While my stylist assured me this was to enable a "perfect fit", I would rather have the "perfect shopping experience" by receiving items that match the dimensions I provide. Your clients should be informed of the additional time and expense potentially required to shop with Trunk Club.
